Dear diary,
My wedding is coming in 6 months time, and I started to feel really nervous about that. I just got back from Malaysia a few days ago. Though it was just a very short one, I think I've already got a rough idea about how my upcoming wedding is going to look like. Seriously, Malay wedding is really expensive I tell you!
Percaya atau tidak, a minimal wedding nowadays will cost you at least RM20000. When I say minimal, maksudnya tiada sebarang majlis angan-angan di situ. If you are a bride, and you are hosting a reception at a hall, then you probably need the same amount of money for your whole wedding thingy. Tak percaya? Come let me show you the list.

That is the whole idea about what you need for a wedding. Tapi yang I letak tu harga maximum la. You can adjust according to your own preferences. Maybe akan ada perubahan here and there macam jumlah tetamu, baju pengantin, hiasan dewan and whatsoever, but these are the basic things that you need to consider for your wedding ceremony.
I don't think mine will be up to the total amount that I have listed above, but I'm not surprise if it will be something close to that. Mahal gila kan? No wonder la ramai yang terpaksa buat personal loan semata-mata untuk berkahwin. I hope I don't have to do that. Cukup tak cukup, I akan buat majlis sekadar apa yang ada saja. Pandai-pandai la nak hidup untuk tak tambah hutang.
Dulu masa borak dengan membe memang dia ada cakap sedar tak sedar dia dah habiskan RM30K untuk majlis dia. I didn't believe her. Not until I did the research on my own, and came out with the figure above, then I know that she's telling me the true fact. Mungkin ada banyak cara untuk menjimatkan kos, but you have to find your own way. As for me, I will try my best to reduce the cost, utamakan yang perlu, buang segala kehendak yang tidak penting. Sama-sama kita cuba ye. :)
